Sheer Genius.

I'm usually not a huge fan of Nicole Miller

due to the fact that I always view her stuff as super

stiff and not so dark, daring, and unconventionally

artistic. However, I spoke too soon. Everything is perfect

in her S/S 11 collection. You have a mixture between

whites, grays, and blacks, fluid drapery, crisp tailoring,

and a mixture of hard vs soft fabrics. I especially love her

way of doing different hem lenghts with sheers underneath.

Some pieces within the collection to me even have subtle

hints of architecture and bondage elements. The perfect

wardrobe for women of all various ages.

Top 10 Musical Masterminds:According to me.

1.) Jim Morrison (The Doors)
2.) Thom Yorke (Radiohead)

3.) Syd Barrett (Pink Floyd)

4.) Marilyn Manson

5.) Billy Corgan (Smashing Pumpkins)

6.) Kurt Cobain (Nirvana)

7.) Dolores O'Riordan (The Cranberries)

8.) Robert Plant (Led Zeppelin)

9.) Joey Ramone (The Ramones)

10.) AD-ROCK (The Beastie Boys)

Sally Lapointe: Fall 11

I recently discovered this beyond talented

designer in my latest Zink magazine and

I'm truly amazed. I've heard news that this

creative genius has designed attire for the

one and only Lady Gaga, but never looked

far into her. With this collection, I'm loving

the futuristic Star-Trek/Tron influences.

I also am in love with how the color palette

changes dramatically as the looks progress, but

it's done in a very cohesive way. As you may know,

I'm not one for bright colors, but I'm loving the icy blues

and vibrant reds, and of course the blacks and greys.

Lastly, I'm a sucker for strong, harsh structured pieces

with hints of fluid draping....A perfectly done collection.
