Individuals.

A collaboration between designer Nannet Van
der Kleijn and Amsterdam Fashion Institute, Hogeschool
van Amsterdam, this AW 11 collection shows everything
I need in an amazing collection: black, deconstruction,
structure, drapery, and bad ass Gothic Edge.

Karssenberg/Greidanus

Something I just randomly found...and I'd
have to say I'm in complete heaven. Nothing
gets better than this for me, seriously. Designers
Cleo Greidarus and Sanne Karssenberg both studied
in Amsterdam at Rietveld Academy and presented this
collection in January 2010, which was awhile back,
but I'm glad I found this duo-designer label.

Kevin Bourgeois.

Now this is the kind of shit I want hanging on the
walls of my apartment. I love the mixture of
biology references, politics, and the subtle hint
of pop art, without it being too obnoxious.

Obsessed.

Presented during Iris Van Herpen's SS 11
collection, "Crystallization", these shoes
have me beyond amazement. Van Herpen
collaborated with architectural shoe designer
United Nude to create these magnificent intricate
numbers and I would have to say that they
have a subtle hint of one of my favorite movies
"Waterworld" with all of the interlacing and intertwining.

Until the light takes us.

After a 4 year hiatus, Designer Jimmy D is
by far back on the fashion scene. His AW 11
collection "Until the light takes us", was inspired
by Norwegian Metal and featured some amazing
digital prints on sheer fabrics. Gothic fashion never
looked better, especially accented with strappy
chains and leather harnesses.

Gray Matter

What a great array of fascinating clothes this spread
has to offer. Shot back in 2009 from Some/Things magazine,
designers like Rick Owens, Haider Ackermann, and Balenciaga
showed just how awesome their talents really are with
their somber and despaired deconstructed approach towards
fashion.

Erin Wasson: i-D Magazine

Hilary Rhoda, Jessica Stam, Erin Wasson,
and Chanel Iman: Doin it oh so well.
But out of all of them, nobody took my
vote for favorite other than Erin. The
tattoos, the crazy hair, full eyebrows, and
overall raw, bohemian appeal is beyond
stunning pure sex appeal.

Flaunt It.
